"GAME CONNECTION" SPLITS FROM LYON GAME TO FORM PRIVATE
COMPANY
Leading business platform soon to be incorporated; Pierre
Carde to leave Lyon Game to head new entity
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Lyon, July 12th 2006 - Lyon Game
announces that Game Connection, the leading games industry
market place operated by Lyon Game, will be incorporated as a
new, private entity in order to manage its growth and to be
able to operate as an independant entity. Started in 2000 by
Lyon Game, Game Connection allows worldwide game developers to
meet publishers, exchange concepts and ideas and start business
relationships. The marketplace is taking place twice a year, in
March in San Jose, California, during the Game Developers
Conference and in November in Lyon, France. Hundreds of
developers have been participating so far in the marketplace,
hundreds more are expected in the next two editions. Following
the incorporation of the new, independant entity, Pierre Carde,
the leading figure of Lyon Game, will take the helm of the new
operation. Mr. Carde will cease all activity at Lyon Game
during summer in order to meet this new challenge. Lyon Game is
convinced that a separate, independant entity, will be able to
grow as the leading marketplace for the video games industry in
the years to come and to have a structuring and more global
role for the developers it hosts. Lyon Game will retain
ownership of the Game Connection brand. Lyon Game is part of
Lyon Infocité, a non-profit organization dedicated to the
promotion of the business environnment of the Lyon-Rhone Alpes
region in central France. It has over 100 members registered.
