GAME COACHES THE LEADERS OF THE FUTURE
14th August 2006 - GAME has launched a tailored Excellence in Leadership programme to train their top District Development Managers (DDM) from the business into future Regional Managers.
Around 10 DDM's per year will be selected for the scheme, which lasts between 12 - 18 months for each individual.
The programme aims to develop staff's personal and business related skills, including situational leadership, performance management, target setting and team working.
The programme is open to delegates by invitation only through discussion with Regional Managers, Senior Regionals and the Head of Training and Recruitment to ensure that delegates meet the strict criteria set in place.
Each DDM will undertake a wide variety of tasks, such as employee relations, networking at Head Office and specific projects to get them thinking like a Regional Manager.
Each delegate will work closely with their Regional Manager, with continual assessment and feedback from the training department throughout the duration of the programme.
The ultimate objective of the programme is to ensure that staff are fully prepared and already possess the necessary skills when a Regional Manager vacancy is available to them.
Suresh Banarse, Head of Training and Recruitment said "We have launched this initiative in order to raise our standards in store and ultimately produce the best future Regional Managers possible. The programme has already seen success with two of our DDM's on the course recently becoming Regional Managers for Wales and Central and East London respectively."
