Game Career Fair Adds Programme of Talks Showcasing Careers in Videogames

26th September 2006, Brighton, UK - GamesIndustry.biz and Gamasutra.com, today announced an exciting programme of speakers lined up for the inaugural London Game Career Fair (LGCF) on the 3rd and 4th October at the Café Royal.

Free to attend, the LGCF is inviting students, recent graduates and creative talent from related industries such as music, TV, film and animation to meet and learn from some of the game's industry's leading studios including Electronic Arts, Blitz Games, Crytek, LucasArts and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE).

Speakers including Chris Williams of LucasArts, Dave Ranyard of SCEE and Sion Lenton of Blitz Games will be on hand to give valuable advice on how to makes those valuable first steps into the industry.

Studios including Blitz Games, Evolution Studios, Lucas Arts and Real Time Worlds will be in attendance to talk to potential recruits about careers as artists, animators, programmers, designers, audio engineers and more.

The British games industry is responsible for the creation of multi-million selling titles such as Grand Theft Auto, Championship Manager, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Project Gotham Racing. Blockbuster games set to come out of the UK in the near future include the highly anticipated MotorStorm and Heavenly Sword.

The London Game Career Fair, which is the first event of its kind for the videogames industry, will highlight the wide variety of excellent career opportunities available.
