Future appoints new Chief Executive
Future, the international special-interest media group,
announces today the appointment of Ms Stevie Spring as a
director of the Company and its Chief Executive with effect
from 3 July 2005. She will replace Greg Ingham who has today
announced his decision to step down as Chief Executive.
Stevie Spring, 48, is a senior media executive with broad
experience of managing and growing creative businesses. Most
recently she was Chief Executive of Clear Channel, the UK's
largest outdoor media company, which she led for six years
through a period of substantial change and progress. Prior to
this she spent sixteen years in national and international
advertising company management at agencies including Young
& Rubicam and Grey. She started her career in marketing
and television.
Roger Parry, Chairman of Future, said,

Commenting on her appointment, Stevie Spring said,

Ms Spring, a law graduate, is a Fellow of both the Marketing
Society and the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising.
She chairs the Federation of Groundwork Trusts, the UK's
largest organisation delivering sustainable community
regeneration projects, and is on the boards of Arts and
Business, the National Advertising Benevolent Society and the
Women's Advertising Club.
There are no further details to be disclosed under paragraph
9.6.13(1) to (6) of the Listing Rules.
Future has today also announced its Interim Results for the
six months ended 31st March 2006.

Stevie graduated in law and spent four years in client
marketing and two years launching breakfast television before
starting a 16-year career in advertising agency management.
During that time she worked nationally and internationally at
various agencies including Grey and Young & Rubicam -
where she was Managing Director.
In February 2000, she was appointed UK Chief Executive of
Clear Channel, the world's largest out of home media company.
The UK business, which includes Clear Channel Billboards,
Adshel Street Furniture, BT Connect and Taxi Media among its
portfolio, is the UK's largest and leading outdoor company.
It has a turnover approaching £250m, employs 800 staff, and
operates nearly 100,000 advertising panels through a national
network of 20 offices and depots.
Stevie also chairs the DCLG sponsored Groundwork Federation,
which incorporates 50 trusts in England, Wales and Northern
Ireland and, with a turnover of £120m pa, is the UK's largest
organisation delivering community regeneration
projects.
She is (uniquely) a Fellow of both the Institute of
Practitioners in Advertising and of the Marketing Society and
sits on the boards of NABS, WACL and Arts and Business.
Stevie is a frequent conference speaker, lecturer and
commentator on both media and transport issues.
She was voted one of the 75 Women of Achievement in Media and
Marketing in the past 75 years and named one of Campaign
Magazine's Top 10 nicest People in Media.
