Frozen Synapse
Indie developer Mode 7 Games to show off Frozen Synapse at this month's event, with prizes to be won.
15th October 2009. Nottingham, UK. On Friday 30th October, independent developers Mode 7 Games are challenging all of those attending Nottingham's GameCity festival to a brutal duel.
They will unveil an exclusive, early version of their fast-paced tactical PC title "Frozen Synapse", and will offer the chance to win a huge prize pot to anyone skillful enough to defeat them in combat.
"We will take down anyone who dares to enter our tent: the general population are all worthless gibbering incompetents who don't stand a chance against our astonishing intellect," bellowed Paul Taylor, Joint Managing Director. "There will definitely be tears, and gnashing of teeth is certainly probable. Nobody can possibly beat us and we are planning to keep all of the prizes for ourselves: I have already made space for another Novint Falcon on my desk."
If any winners beat the developers and survive the encounter, they will be entered into a prize draw to win the following:
Novint Falcon Pistol Grip Bundle - outrageous, nonsensical and beautiful "haptic controller" with a gun sticking out of it - http://www.novint.com Great indie games from top developers Moonpod (Mr Robot) and Dejobaan Games (AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! -- A Reckless Disregard for Gravity) 10 recent Warp Records CD's A copy of Frozen Synapse on release day and a mention in the credits"We'd like to thank GameCity and our fantastic sponsors for supporting indie gaming and giving us this opportunity, " added Taylor. "But unfortunately, they're all troublesome peons and barely worth a mention."
Frozen Synapse: Beat the Game Designers takes place in Nottingham's Market Square on Friday 30th October, 10am to 5pm
