French and German 'Age of Conan' community portals open

Durham, USA - September 19th, 2007 - Funcom is excited to announce the launch of the French and German community portals for the highly anticipated massively multiplayer online game 'Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures'. This extension of the community initiative means that French and German gamers will now have access to news, information and discussion forums in their own native languages. Funcom representatives are available to aid and work with these new communities and their members.

Both community portals will be updated simultaneously with the English community portal, ensuring that both French and German gamers will always have access to the very latest news and updates surrounding the game. This signals Funcom's long-term commitment to local activities in the French and German speaking markets, which will also be supported with local 'Age of Conan' services after launch.

Launched simultaneously with the new community portals are also a set of French speaking and German speaking forums that are moderated by local Funcom representatives and trusted community members.

'Age of Conan' is consistently mentioned as one of the most anticipated PC games in development. It has received numerous magazine covers and awards, including 'Best MMO at E3' awards from IGN, GameSpot, GameSpy and Yahoo. 'Age of Conan' is a key title in Microsoft's Games for Windows line-up, as well as being a showcase DirectX 10 title for nVidia.
