Freedom Games locks up $10 million in funding

Play Ventures and NCN lead investment round into indie publisher behind Coromon, Dreamscaper and more

Freedom Games landed $10 million in funding to accelerate hiring and expand its developer platform wiki.gg, the company has announced.

The investment is being led by Play Ventures, with additional participation from Nashville Capital Network and GFR Fund.

"We couldn't be more proud to work together," said Freedom CEO and co-founder Donovan Duncan.

"Not only will this enable us to bring even more high-quality indies to fruition and continue growing our platform for creators to share their content, but to also stay committed to our developer-first mindset by continuing to invest in our suite of tools and services for indie developers."

Freedom Games was formally founded in August of 2020 and published its first game, Afterburner Studios' Dreamscaper, within two weeks.

It now boasts a catalog of nearly 40 games on its official website.
