Fredrik Wester appointment

Paradox Interactive's new CEO.

STOCKHOLM—April 2nd, 2009— Paradox Interactive today announced that effective April 2, Fredrik Wester will serve the company as Chief Executive Officer.

As CEO, Fredrik is responsible for all sales and marketing related activities, the complete Paradox portfolio of games as well as several business development projects. Fredrik originally joined Paradox in 2003 and was named Director of Publishing in 2004. He was then promoted to Executive Vice President in January 2007.

“Leading Paradox has been a goal of mine since day one here,” said Fredrik Wester. “We have an outstanding internal team in place and have developed partnerships that will help elevate Paradox to the next level. I look forward to leading that charge.”

Paradox, widely known for their strategy PC titles, is in the midst of a successful 2009. They are currently readying several highly anticipated PC titles, including the sequel for Majesty- The Fantasy Kingdom Sim and the third instalment of Hearts of Iron.

About Fredrik Wester

Originally recruited to oversee and build the publishing business as a Vice President, Fredrik joined Paradox Interactive in 2003. In his current role as CEO, Fredrik is responsible for overseeing the operations of Paradox and guiding its strategic growth.´Prior to joining Paradox Interactive, Fredrik co-founded and acted as Director of Sales at consulting company Protein Media. Fredrik holds a degree in International Management from the Gothenburg School of Economics and Commercial Law. Fredrik joined Paradox in 2003, was appointed Director of Publishing in 2004 and Executive Vice President in January 2007.
