Freaky Creatures
Three new trailers show off closed beta tournaments.
MALIBU, Calif. – March 17, 2009 – Abandon Interactive Entertainment today released three new trailers showing players battling for supremacy during closed beta in the upcoming online creature building and battling game, Freaky Creatures. Hitting shelves in March 2009, Freaky Creatures combines the best of online multiplayer PC gaming, collectible action figures, virtual worlds and social networking.
In Freaky Creatures, players customize their Creatures using a variety of parts and powers before taking them online to battle their friends. Players are awarded Creature Credits, which can be redeemed at the Creature Club Store online to purchase additional parts, powers and other objects.
The new trailers show highlights of key battles between players in tournaments during closed beta. While in combat, players can stay connected with opponents as well as other players in the lobby via the live chat and spectator feature.
The Freaky Creatures experience begins with a starter pack that includes two action figures and a one-gigabyte reusable flash drive as the key to the Freaky Creatures Universe. Once players have customized their creature they can jump straight into battle or build a lair in which they can care for their creature and hang out with friends. Players can also participate in the Freaky Creatures community, personalize their homepage, play mini-games, join tournaments, check leaderboards, trade items, read animated comics, enter contests, form teams and much more in the ever expanding Freaky Creatures Universe. Starter packs will be available in March 2009 for $19.99.
