Fox becomes main licensor for Halo

Twentieth Century Fox continues it licensing agreement with Microsoft for first-party videogames, with product based around the Halo franchise due this autumn.

Twentieth Century Fox continues it licensing agreement with Microsoft for first-party videogames, with product based around the Halo franchise due this autumn.

The two companies struck a deal in 2005 for Fox to manage a merchandising and licensing program for products including clothing, accessories, toys and selected print publications.

"Fox has become the primary licensor for the Halo franchise," confirmed Tina Conley, senior account executive for Xbox, speaking to GamesIndustry.biz.

It was also confirmed that leading toy manufacturer McFarlane Toys will create a range of action figures based on the upcoming Halo 3 videogame, to be released September 26.
