Former iFone Executive Joins Telcogames As Chief Marketing Officer
London, UK 3 August 2006 - Telcogames, a global publisher, developer and distributor of mobile games, announce today that they have appointed Enda Carey as their Chief Marketing Officer to join their expanding team.
Jamie Conyngham, CEO of Telcogames said:" We are excited to have Enda Carey join the team. His talent, strategic vision and extensive operational experience will ensure that we can maintain our ability to compete on a global scale with a continuing innovative edge".
Enda Carey brings with him a wealth of experience in both the games and the mobile sector having worked in the past for Sony Computer Entertainment and most recently as marketing director for iFone Ltd where he helped establish them as a leading publisher of mobile games. iFone became quickly a leading European publisher (No.1 in the UK for past 2 years according to ELSPA) with a large catalogue of key branded titles including Tetris, Lemmings, Monopoly and most recently Sonic the Hedgehog from SEGA which Carey was instrumental in delivering to the market with accompanying marketing programs.
At iFone, Enda Carey was also responsible for all corporate marketing gaining them multiple awards including number 1 UK publisher for 2 years running according to ELSPA charts and number 2 on the Sunday Times top 100 tech companies to watch out for. These successes culminated in the company being purchased by GLU Mobile earlier this year.
At Telcogames Enda Carey will oversee the marketing to accompany the next phase of growth for Telcogames in the smartphone market, as well as highlighting the exciting and broad ranging java catalogue of games. Carey will be responsible for all marketing activity at the company highlighting the large catalogue of existing titles and the fantastic new product roadmap.
"The smartphone market is just about to explode, so right now seems like the perfect time to join the team here at Telcogames. As the Java marketplace becomes saturated and commoditised, and handsets become more sophisticated, users will naturally gravitate to better games and smartphone native titles allow that. Telcogames with their great mixture of java catalogue and cutting edge smartphone games are perfectly placed to take advantage of these 2 increasingly diverse markets. I am excited to be working with a focused and driven team as well as such great product - watch out for some killer applications in the coming months." commented Carey.
