Former Flagship exec joins lawfirm
Steve Goldstein rejoins Stubbs Alderton and Markiles to build up its videogame clientele
Stubbs Alderton & Markiles, a Los Angeles-based lawfirm, has announced it has taken on Steve Goldstein, formerly of Flagship Studios, as senior counsel.
As a senior counsel at the firm, Goldstein will be an addition to its Interactive Media Practice Group and is expected to expand the firm's existing clientele of videogame developers and publishers.
"We are thrilled to announce the addition of Steve Goldstein to our firm," said Scott Alderton, managing partner.
"Steve was a valuable asset to our firm prior to joining the Flagship Studios management team, and the extensive game expertise and experience he developed working with Flagship, plus his deep relationships in the videogame industry, make him the perfect addition to our Interactive Media Practice Group."
"Steve's relationships, experience and expertise will elevate our videogames and interactive media practice to a new level."
Goldstein rejoins the firm after spending three years as the director of business development and general counsel for Flagship Studios, until it closed its doors.
"I am very pleased to be back with Stubbs Alderton & Markiles," said Goldstein.
"They are a rare firm in this industry in that they provide the deep legal services of a global law firm, but they maintain the agility and flexibility of a boutique, making them the perfect home for the representation of independent developers and publishers."
"I have a strong desire to get back to working with all of my contacts in the video game industry and look forward to helping the many developers and publishers with their growing legal needs."
