Football Favourite Comes to Your Local Pub
A new game based on the world's most successful football
management game, and fastest selling PC game of last year,
Football Manager, is coming to a pub, bar and club
near you just in time for the 2006 World Cup.
Football Manager Quiz is due to be installed into over
15,000 venues in existing touch screen pub quiz machines
including the hugely popular ITBox, Fatbox and Gamesnet
networks. The game will feature 15,000 questions from easy to
very hard, and will give players the chance to win cash
prizes by using their football knowledge.
Football Manager Quiz has an intuitive footballing
feel to it; on answering questions correctly the on-screen
players pass the ball until it has reached the striker.
Answering the striker's question correctly leads to the
chance to score a goal and a prize.
Sports Interactive, the creators of the original Football
Manager games, have been working with the developer
Playbox & Fat Spanner for the last 12 months to create
this incredibly addictive title. The style, theme and fun to
be had that have made the brand so popular are all evident in
Football Manager Quiz.
Machines will be updated over time to keep the questions
topical, fresh and varied.
Miles Jacobson of Sports Interactive explains the potential
of the game; "Football Manager Quiz is not only a
great game in it's own right, it's also a fantastic way for
us to get our brand in front of the target market. With so
many venues having the machines, and the machines being so
popular, it's the perfect way to introduce new people to the
Football Manager brand, whilst entertaining them in a new
way".
