Focus to Release IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles

For Immediate Release

September 2004

Focus Multimedia is further strengthening its relationship with leading games publisher Ubisoft by licensing the strong title, 'IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles,' which will enter Focus Multimedia's range of budget PC CD-ROM software at an RPP of £9.99, available in DVD style packaging.

Riding on the success of 'IL-2 Sturmovik,' which sold over 120,000 units in Europe alone and received numerous awards, including 'Best PC Simulation Game of E3 2001,' 'IL-2: Sturmovik Forgotten Battles' offers all the improvements and modifications needed to make it the best flight simulation game in the PC market.

'IL-2: Sturmovik Forgotten Battles' has become the reference in the combat simulation genre. Brand new missions (both solo and multiplayer) and a new innovative solo dynamic campaign system have also been implemented, with the constant will of sticking accurately to the tiniest historical facts (1941-1945).

Craig Johnson, Managing Director of Focus Multimedia commented, 'We are pleased to have licensed this product from Ubisoft, allowing us to now offer both the IL-2 titles within our range at very competitive price points.'

With modelisation of 129 aircrafts and cockpits and a huge degree of variety in the environment, 'Forgotten Battles' reaches a level of realism never experienced before. Over 80 of the aircrafts are flyable with the option of managing the engine and while players can select their preferred aircraft, they can also individually select the nation and squadron. Adjustments to the flight dynamics of every aircraft promise accurate replication of even the tiniest historical facts.

'Forgotten Battles' offers 20 single player missions and 10 multi player missions, but with the introduction of the 'mission builder,' limitless missions are available over existing areas and also five new maps covering Hungary, Finland and the Ukraine.

With 'IL-2 Sturmovik' entering Focus Multimedia's Revival range of super budget PC CD-ROM software and retailing at £4.99, players can get double the experience and enjoy both products at an attractive price.
