Focus Home Interactive posts $33.2m in Q1 revenue
Vampyr drove sales to a 23% YOY increase over 2017's launch of The Surge
Focus Home Interactive has published its Q1 2018/19 financial report, showing a Q1 2018 revenue increase of 23% year over year. The company brought in €28.5 million ($33.2 million) during the period, largely driven by the launch of Vampyr.
That year over year increase is especially notable given that the comparable period in 2017 reflected profits from The Surge's launch, which itself represented a 24% year over year increase from 2016.
Though its best-seller status in the UK, France, Germany and elsewhere did much of the work bringing in that revenue increase, Focus Home's back catalogue (including MudRunner and FS17's platinum edition) accounted for 29% of total sales. Over the same period last year, the back catalogue accounted for 36% of total sales.
Focus Home Interactive's Q2 is set up to see two releases: Fear the Wolves (in early access, with a full release coming in 2019) and Insurgency: Sandstorm (on PC, with consoles coming in 2019). A MudRunner expansion and Farming Simulator 19's release are planned for later in the fiscal year.
