Florida online storyteller publishes new novel
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LAND O'LAKES, FL - Nov. 26, 2004 - The universe of Wes Platt's OtherSpace has now been immortalized in a new novel, called "Red-Eye Flight."
The novel, written in conjunction with National Novel Writing Month, tells of the aftermath of a trade outpost bombing that puts two interstellar governments at the brink of war.
"Red-Eye Flight" is based on OtherSpace: New Journeys, a text-based roleplaying game developed by Wes Platt that's been online since June 1998. It's the first novel based on OtherSpace, and draws inspiration from such diverse influences as Chaucer's "Canterbury Tales," ABC's hit TV show "Lost" and Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction." More novels are expected to follow in the OtherSpace series. Books can be ordered by clicking on the book cover image at www.jointhesaga.com.
Wes Platt currently lives in Land O'Lakes, north of Tampa. Besides writing novels, he maintains the websites and manages the games at www.jointhesaga.com.
