Fishlabs presents four brand-new 3-D mobile games based on the revolutionary ABYSS® graphic engine

Hamburg / Los Angeles, Ca./USA, 16th May 2005 In the form of four new, impressive, mobile multi-player titles, Fishlabs presents the efficiency of its inhouse developed graphic engine ABYSS®. As one of the world's leading designers of 3-D mobile games, the company was only recently included in the 3-D Java Game Gallery Hall of Fame (see www.sonyericsson.com). Trial versions of MotoraverTM, Robot AllianceTM and Cloud CommanderTM are embedded in SonyEricsson handsets all over Europe. Retail products related to these titles will be available in summer via various providers in the USA, EMEA and APAC. The 3-D multi-player racing game Speed SpiritTM will be celebrating its premiere at the E3, the world's most important fair for entertainment software, taking place in Los Angeles (Ca./USA) from May 18th to 20th . Furthermore, Fishlabs has another five as yet undisclosed 3-D multi-player titles in development which are to be launched in the third quarter of this year.

"The E3 represents the ideal framework for demonstrating the efficiency of our ABYSS® engine to a wide public. Particularly impressive is of course the enormous graphic output. Although our games are very graphic-intensive, they run on Java telephones without hardware acceleration with considerably more than 10 images per second. This ensures a real console feeling", comments Michael Schade, CEO at Fishlabs.

The ABYSS® engine not only focuses on the presentation of 3-D graphics, but rather a variety of other much more interesting features such as highly-developed artificial intelligence as well as 3-D physics for vehicles with collision detection for opponents and the environment. ABYSS® can be used independent of platforms and will also be supporting other technologies such as BREW, Symbian and MS Windows mobile by the end of 2005.
