First Games Central podcast now available

The first in a new series of podcasts featuring comment from leading figures in the games industry is now available for download via the Games Central website, and on Apple's iTunes Music Store.

Titled Games Central, the podcasts will be released every two weeks and will feature round tables of three guests taking a look at the state of the industry from a UK-centric perspective.

Episode one, which was recorded at Westminster's Portcullis House, features ELSPA director Paul Jackson and Government minister Shaun Woodward. There's also comment from Anthony Head, who is best known for his roles in Little Britain and Buffy the Vampire Slayer and also voices one of the lead characters in THQ's Destroy All Humans 2.

The next podcast in the series, due out on November 17, will feature SCE UK boss Ray Maguire, Paul Topping of Codemasters Mobile and writer Steve Boxer. All of the podcasts will be hosted by veteran games journalist Tim Wapshott.
