Fire Emblem Heroes earns $400 million globally
Mobile game nearly ten time more profitable than Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp
Fire Emblem Heroes remains the most profitable of Nintendo's mobile catalog by a longshot. The game has brought in over $400 million in revenue worldwide since its launch, over six times that of Super Mario Run and nearly ten times that of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
SensorTower reports that the game has crossed the $400 million mark 18 months after launch, around $100 million of which came in during 2018 as the game brought in $295 million in its first year.
Just over half (52%) of spending in the game occurred through Google Play, with the rest through the App Store. In addition, Japanese players spent the most, accounting for 56% of revenue. US players accounted for 31%.
Fire Emblem Heroes remains far, far ahead of its Nintendo mobile cousins Super Mario Run and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. Super Mario Run has brought in $64 million since launch despite launching three months prior to Fire Emblem Heroes. And though Pocket Camp's ongoing monetization likely stands to surpass pay-to-play-more Mario Run eventually, it is nowhere near on track to catch Fire Emblem, having only made $42 million since its launch in November of 2017.
