Finesse launches new Andy McNab game
Enigma Force hits handsets following deal with Impressionware
British mobile game developer Finesse has teamed up Italian firm Impressionware to launch a new game based around the exploits of former SAS soldier Andy McNab.
Andy McNab's Enigma Force was co-produced by the titular hero, who is best known for writing a blockbuster book, Bravo Two Zero, about his experiences during the first Gulf War.
Players must take part in a series of training exercises before joining the regiment and tackling covert missions, hostage crises and surveillance operations. There are three levels of difficulty and the game uses a context-sensitive control system.
"The missions are superbly crafted and realistically depict the skill and daring needed by an elite soldier," said Finesse MD Kevin Holloway.
"Random shooting will not get you through the levels of this game; thought is needed if you want to succeed."
Andy McNab's Enigma Force is now available for around 300 handsets, with English, French, Italian, German and Spanish versions on offer.
