Fight My Monster secures animation deal

Ireland's Brown Bag Films to take online game to TV screens

Animation company Brown Bag Films has secured a deal for a TV series based on hit online game Fight My Monster.

Launched in January of this year, Fight My Monster has over 300,000 users aged 7-12 years old. The company was founded by Dominic Williams and counts DemonWare and Jolt Online's Dylan Collins as executive chairman.

"We are very excited to work on this project. We have been looking for a character-driven boys show for some time and are extremely excited about a show designed for all screen platforms from its inception," said Cathal Gaffney, CEO of Brown Bag Films.

The deal is the latest in the trend for new gaming properties to expand into other media, with Rovio's Angry Birds and Mind Candy's Moshi Monsters already leading the charge.
