FIFA holds top spot as game sales drop

Almost all top 40 sales halve in post-Christmas lull

Electronic Arts' FIFA 09 remains the best-selling game in the UK's All Format's charts, despite the entire top 40 suffering from a post-Christmas sales decline.

The gap between the number one title and Activision's Call of Duty: World at War is only 400 units, according to data from GfK Chart Track, in a week that saw almost all top 40 sales halve.

Wii Fit was the least affected by the slump, with a decline in sales of only 1 per cent, as it rose up the charts from number 20 to number four.
