FIFA 17 beat Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in November digital sales - SuperData

Full game downloads and FIFA DLC totalled more than £10m

FIFA 17 was the most successful digital game of November 2016 in the UK, SuperData has revealed.

The football game - which has sold well over 2m units in the UK so far - beat Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's debut month by £1m.

In total, FIFA 17 generated £10.54m ($13m) in digital revenue, and last year's FIFA game is also in the Top Five at No.4 (having generated £3.16m ($3.87m).

In fact, there are three EA games in the Top Five, with Battlefield 1 at No.3 with £7.76m ($9.5m) generated.

SuperData's digital chart is the closest we have so far to seeing digital data in the UK charts. It currently does not track PC. The firm announced it would be sharing its data with GfK to create a UK digital and physical combined chart, but the project has yet to come to fruition.

ISFE is also working on a digital chart project, too, for multiple European countries. We hope to see some movement in this space early next year, with the games industry falling behind music and film in terms of market tracking.

Here is the Top Ten for November according to SuperData.
