FEAR 2 debuts behind Wii Fit in UK

New Sega release House of the Dead: Overkill fails to enter top ten

Warner's FEAR 2: Project Origin has made its debut at number two in the UK All Formats charts, according to data from GfK Chart Track.

The title saw 50 per cent of sales on the Xbox 360, 31 per cent on the PlayStation 3 and 19 per cent on PC in its first week.

However, it wasn't enough to nudge Nintendo's Wii Fit off the top of the charts, even with the fitness title suffering a 10 per cent drop in sales.

Nintendo's most recent release – Mystery Case Files: Millionheir – moved up one space from four to three, with a increase in sales of 25 per cent.

Sega's new release House of the Dead: Overkill for the Wii failed to make the top ten in its opening week, settling for 15th place in the top 40, and beaten by Ben 10: Alien Force from D3P at 13.

The top ten All Formats chart follows:

  • 01 Wii Fit
  • 02 FEAR 2: Project Origin
  • 03 Mystery Case Files: Millionheir
  • 04 Call of Duty: World at War
  • 05 FIFA 09
  • 06 Mario Kart Wii
  • 07 Wii Play
  • 08 My Fitness Coach
  • 09 Professor Layton and the Curious Village
  • 10 Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games
