Silverstone screenshots released ahead of this weekend's big race.

Saturday 20th June/... Ahead of this weekend’s FORMULA 1 BRITISH GRAND PRIX at Silverstone, Codemasters has today released new screenshots from F1 2009 featuring the high speed circuit. Gamers will be able to step into their heroes’ shoes and take on amazing bends such as Becketts and Copse for themselves when F1 2009 is released for Wii™ and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system this autumn.

With this due to be the final FORMULA ONE race ever to be held at the famous Northamptonshire track, the 2009 FORMULA 1 BRITISH GRAND PRIX will be an emotionally charged event especially with two British drivers at the forefront of the sport. Jenson Button currently leads the FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™ while fellow Brit, Lewis Hamilton, will be looking to recapture the form that saw him win his home grand prix last year, as well as the coveted FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.

Codemasters has also released the pack art for F1 2009 on Wii and PSP. The pack encapsulates the look and feel of the enthralling night race held in Singapore which was introduced to the FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP in 2008.

F1 2009 will deliver a fully authentic FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP experience with all the teams, drivers, cars and tracks from the enthralling 2009 season. The Nintendo Wii version will set new standards for racing immersion and authenticity while remaining accessible for the entire family and the PSP version will allow fans the opportunity to enjoy the world’s most thrilling and glamorous sport on the move.
