EXHIBITORS LINE UP FOR ALL THE FUN OF THE TOY FAIR

More than 80 per cent of the floor space at Toy Fair 2008 has been sold, despite the event still being some 21 weeks away.

To date, 144 companies have signed up to exhibit at the 55th UK Toy Fair, which is organised annually by BTHA. Next year's event is scheduled to run from January 30 - February 2 2008 at London's ExCeL.

Major names on the roster include Bachmann, Bandai, Born to Play, Character Options, Corgi Classics, Drumond Park, Golden Bear, Halsall International, Hasbro, Leapfrog Toys, Lego UK, Playmobil, RC2, Spin Master Toys, Upstarts, Vivid Imaginations, Vtech Electronics Europe and Zapf Creation.

18 organisations are exhibiting for the first time and 20 companies - hoping to be the toy talent of tomorrow - have secured their space in the increasingly popular Greenhouse Area.

"We are delighted with progress so far and are well on track to welcome around 235 toy companies - from globally known brands to brand new start-ups - to the show next January," commented Natasha Crookes, Toy Fair event manager.

"Together, these companies will showcase tens of thousands of fantastic new toys, games and hobbies, giving retailers a unique insight into the products that are likely to make it big among kids of all ages next Easter, summer, Christmas and beyond."

The annual Toy Fair party takes place on Wednesday January 30 at the Fox @ ExCeL. Tickets cost £17.50 and are available to all exhibitors and visitors. This year the party has been sponsored by Monopoly. Please contact the BTHA on 020 7701 7127 to purchase tickets.
