Organisers of the Tokyo Game Show have announced an updated exhibitor list, touting the 10th annual event as the largest ever, with record consumer and industry attendance anticipated.
Boosted by the imminent launch of Nintendo's Wii and Sony's PlayStation 3 console, the September event continues to attract exhibitors from around the globe, with current figures promising 134 companies and more than 1700 booths.
This year's event, the timing of which is suited to capture consumer excitement surrounding the launch of the remaining two platform holders' next-gen hardware, will take place at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, from September 22nd-24th.
The three day event will focus heavily on next-gen developments, hardware and software launches, and the growth of online gaming bolstered by Japan's steady adoption of fibre-optic network connections.
The TGS Forum, an integral part of the event, will offer sessions covering online gaming, the mobile gaming industry, videogame characters, developer issues, and a new finance and market section.
Further information on the event, including current confirmed exhibitors, advanced ticket purchases and industry registration can be found by visiting the official Tokyo Game Show website.
