Ex Atari Executive Joins MumboJumbo As VP Of North American Sales
DALLAS, TX - NOVEMBER 29, 2006 - MumboJumbo, a leading publisher of casual games, today announced the appointment of Brian Garrison to the position of Vice President of North American Sales. In his new position, Brian will report directly to CEO, Mark Cottam, and will assume direct responsibility for sales of all MumboJumbo titles in North America.
Prior to joining MumboJumbo, Brian served as Director of Sales at Atari, leading the regional sales team and managing total annual sales of over $175 million. He also supervised two national accounts, Wal-Mart and AAFES, growing the latter by 100% over the prior year's sales.
"Brian's expertise in sales, management and account supervision will be great additions for MumboJumbo as we expand our executive team to meet the accelerated growth of the company's PC and console portfolio," said Mark Cottam. "We're extremely confident in Brian's ability to drive our next phase of development, as the company enters the console market with the release of Luxor: Wrath of Set, and Platypus on the PSP."
"With the growth of the casual games space and MumboJumbo having positioned itself as an industry frontrunner, I see tremendous upside to my new position," explained Garrison. "With so many appealing games in their product line-up, and veteran staff of game industry professionals, I look forward to building upon the company's successes and further expanding our relationship across an A-list of channel retailers."
In addition to sales, Brian will be chiefly responsible for the commercial growth of the business as MumboJumbo works to put its premiere titles into the hands of all existing casual gamers, while transforming potential gamers into customers throughout North America.
