European Game Conference Alliance
Nordic Game conference and the Festival of Games join forces.
The European Game Conference Alliance is a partnership focused on delivering specific, in-depth content for all companies in the games industry. Not only sharing knowledge and resources, the partnership also paves the road towards a European conference pass, allowing visitors to tour the European’s Game Industry with a single ticket.
Seth van der Meer, Chairman of the Festival of Games is very enthusiastic about the partnership. “This is a great start for cooperation between strong EU conference organizers. The EGCA is not just a partnership but stands for high quality. EGCA events have a distinct theme and focus and offer the audience specific knowledge to improve their day-to-day businesses”.
Although the Festival of Games and Nordic Game are only two weeks apart, both parties see no competitive downsides. “On the contrary. We work together on arranging speakers and offer each other’s participants discounts on attending both events. This way, the international games industry can benefit from our cooperation and save time as well as money”, according to Jacob Riis, Communications Director at Nordic Game Program.
The future goal of the European Game Conference Alliance will be to expand with other European events and eventually introduce a special “European Game Conference Alliance year subscription”: One ticket to attend all the events of the European Game Conference Alliance members. This year, companies in attendance of one of the events will automatically receive a special discount coupon for ordering the additional event participation fee.
