Former Eurogamer Network publisher Patrick Garratt has left his role to start a new project in association with the company.

Garratt, who joined the Eurogamer team in 2004, has overseen a number of changes to the network during his time, including the launch of French and German language versions of the site.

"It's very exciting to be setting up a brand new project with the network's managing director, Rupert Loman," he said. "We're going to be making the launch announcement in the near future, but for now we're keeping everything under wraps."

Garratt's responsibilities will be split between existing members of the team.

The Eurogamer Network publishes a number of games web sites, including Eurogamer.net and GamesIndustry.biz.
