Eurogamer PKR Challenge 2006: $6,000 up for grabs!
Press Release
Brighton, England, October 16, 2006: Eurogamer Network is excited to announce the Eurogamer PKR Challenge 2006.
The online poker tournament - produced in partnership with PKR, Jez San's newly-released online poker room - will see $6,000 in cash given away before the end of 2006. The event is free to enter and will take place at 8pm UK time every Thursday night from 26th October up until the grand final on 14th December.
The heats are completely free to participate in. $500 in cash will be given away every week to the best performing players, while each week's winner will also qualify for the grand final where they could win a share of a further $2,500. The ten finalists will also be treated to a free "PKR Face", a unique 3D modeling service using Face GenTM software, so their online character will look like them.

"As a keen poker player I can't wait for the event to kick off and compete against our readers," said Eurogamer Network's Managing Director, Rupert Loman. "PKR is a fantastic new way to play online poker and we're looking forward to introducing new players to the game."
"While lady luck always plays a role, poker is primarily a game of skill which should stand Eurogamer's video gaming community in good stead," said PKR's Founder and President, Jez San. "We're excited to be able to bring a new dimension to the game and look forward to what should prove to be a hard-fought but fun tournament."
