Euro Football Manager
Euro 2008 tie-in launched by betting outfit bwin.
Press release
Stockholm, Sweden, 21 May 2008
For EURO2008, European online sports betting operator bwin has launched a new fantasy football game provided by Swedish game developer Jadestone. The game, called Euro Football Manager, brings the excitement of the EURO2008 to fantasy football fans across Europe.
With this game, Jadestone continues to build its position as a leading provider of fully managed online fantasy games. Earlier this year, bwin was the first sports betting operator to offer a Jadestone fantasy game to its customers. The launch of Euro Football Manager is an extension of bwin’s cooperation with Jadestone.
“EURO2008 is a true football fest and we’re very happy that bwin has chosen us as their fantasy games partner for the tournament”, said Tobias Nissen, Business Development Director at Jadestone. “We’ve been doing special tournaments games for media companies like Aftonbladet for some time, but this is the first with a sports betting company”.
The Euro Football Manager game lets players create their own virtual team which is made up of the football stars they think will perform best at EURO2008. If the real life football players perform well in the tournament, the virtual team will score points too.
Players collect points for each round, and the one who has the most points at the end of the tournament will win a grand prize of EUR 20,000 and the Euro Champion title.
The Euro Football Manager game is available now at the bwin site:
