ESWC UK NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP DATES ANNOUNCED

The countdown has begun to find the best video gaming talent in the UK and to win a chance to represent your country at the international finals in Paris for the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC). The UK event will be staged in London on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th May. ( http://www.eswc.co.uk)
Game Frontier, the official organisers of this year's ESWC UK National Championships, have made arrangements to host the event at the Omega Sektor in Harrow. Some of the best pro gamers in the land will be battling it out over the two day UK Finals, all focused on winning 1st place to qualify to progress onto the international Finals in July.
Official video-game tournaments for ESWC UK are:
Counter-Strike® 1.6 (5v5)
Quake 4 (1v1)
Warcraft® III : The Frozen Throne® (1v1)
Trackmania Nations ® (1v1)
Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (1v1)
The ESWC UK national championships will run over two days, the first day (26th May) will see the Counter-Strike teams battle it out to become the first of the UK team heading to Paris. Day two (27th May) will see fierce head to head action as the best individual gamers stand up and are counted in their bid to make it onto the UK Team. Registration for the above games will open at 1pm on Saturday 21st April on www.eswc.co.uk.
eSports is a fast-rising new cultural phenomenon with more and more professional teams competing against talented amateurs. Some of the UK's most respected gamers will be in attendance.
ESWC GLOBAL FINALS
The International Grand Finals are taking place in Paris between July 5th and July 8th, where each nation's champions will be aiming for the ultimate accolade of being the best in the world.
