ESCONF 2009

GamingXP signed as media partner.

Berlin, May 18, 2009 – The gaming magazine GamingXP becomes the official media partner for the “International eSports Conference (ESCONF)” on B-to-C communications for German-speaking countries and Austria in particular. The gaming magazine will cover the event with news and reports on the program, the participants and the topics.

Carsten Kohlenbeck, project manager GDC Europe and eSports at Think Services Game Group Germany and responsible for the ESCONF: “We are glad to have our neighbors informed about the ESCONF also and are following our increasing awareness in Austria with great pleasure. Along with the gaming magazine Gaming XP and further media partners we have ensured all German-speaking countries to be informed about the ESCONF. Given this we are looking forward to the conference and the media resonance.”

“As a bridging mediator Gaming XP, one of the biggest German-speaking gaming magazines, wants to cover eSports in an authentic and serious way. We distance ourselves from the public fear mongering and put our emphasis on the competitiveness of this sport. The ESCONF is one of the leading events on this area and we are glad to have that this cooperation has been realized. Together we will work on the public awareness in order to provide more people insight into eSports”, explains Peter Konhäusner, publisher and editor in chief of GamingXP.

Further information and the registration for the ESCONF are to be found on the website www.esconf.com
