Epic Games Announces Plans For 2007 Game Developers Conference

Epic will host an Exposuite for meetings and technology demonstrations, a Career Pavilion booth for prospective employees, a pre-GDC Unreal Engine 3 seminar for licensees, two media events and multiple GDC speaker sessions.

RALEIGH, NC -- February 20th, 2007 - Epic Games, one of the world's leading game developers and creator of the award-winning Unreal® Engine, reveals that it will be demonstrating the latest Unreal Engine 3 features at GDC 2007 in closed door presentations, as well as having its usual multiple speaker sessions, dedicated space in the Career Pavilion (CP 1502), special press sessions for the industry's media and a pre-GDC seminar for Unreal Engine 3 licensees.

Epic will once again demonstrate the latest Unreal Engine 3 features in a private theater within their ExpoSuite, ES 5718, located in the North Hall. Hours for Epic's Exposuite are Wednesday March 7th 9AM - 6:30PM, Thursday March 8th 9AM-6:30PM and Friday March 9th 9AM-3:00PM.

Pre-GDC Seminar Unreal Engine 3 Licensees

Unreal Engine licensees, qualified prospective licen­sees, and members of the Unreal Engine Integrated Partners Program are invited to sign up for our Unreal Engine 3 licensee full-day seminar at the Moscone Center West Hall on Tuesday March 6, 2007.

The agenda for the seminar includes separate tracks for technology creators (i.e. programmers) and content creators (artists, animators, level designers, audio, etc.) There will be plenty of Q&A time in the schedule and a chance for licensees to meet face-to-face with key Unreal Engine 3 development personnel. GDC passes are not required to attend the Unreal Engine Licensee Seminar. Lunch and coffee breaks will be served and attendance is free of charge. Advance registration is required. Epic Media Events at GDC

Epic will be hosting two Media Briefings for media at GDC. These will take place on Wednesday March 7th and Thursday March 8th at 2:00PM in Epic's Exposuite (ES5718). There is limited space available so please book your place in advance by emailing Nicola Kirby ( kirby@littlebrowndoggy.com) with your name, publication, contact details and preferred day. The sessions will comprise demos, short talks by key Epic spokespeople and Q&As - each session will be approximately 45-60 minutes long. There will be additional one to one interview slots but these will be allocated on a strictly first come, first served basis - please indicate if you would like to book one of these slots in your email.
