Entertainment at the highest level
NEC Display Solutions updates its award-winning gaming and lifestyle GX²Pro series
London, 18 October 2006 - The new NEC MultiSync® GX²Pro models offer all of the benefits of the extremely successful GX² series, along with some innovative additions to improve performance. The 17" NEC MultiSync® 70GX²Pro, 19" NEC MultiSync® 90GX²Pro, and widescreen 20" NEC MultiSync® 20WGX²Pro, have been specifically designed for the discerning game player and design-conscious home user. Improved response times of 2 ms (grey-to-grey) and an optimised contrast ratio make these LCD displays ideally suited for all entertainment and video applications whilst offering excellent word-processing and spreadsheet capability. The 17" and 19" models offer 1280x1024 (SXGA) resolution while the 20" MultiSync® 20WGX2Pro widescreen model offers 35% more visible image with a recommended resolution of 1680x1050 (WSXGA+). The contrast-rich, glossy panel surface of the displays offers a superior gaming and video experience.
The NEC MultiSync® 70GX²Pro and 90GX²Pro offer an optimised contrast ratio of 1000:1 giving a particularly high-quality and brilliant colour display. In addition, NEC's innovative OptiClear DVM (Dynamic Visual Mode) supports pin-sharp picture reproduction for all applications. Here, depending on the application, the user can choose between four different types of display - gaming, video, images, and business applications. A viewing angle of 176 degrees horizontally and vertically enables outstanding picture quality from every angle.
The widescreen display, with an aspect ratio of 16:10, of the NEC MultiSync® 20WGX²Pro provides enhanced multimedia output and a larger visible application space. Gamers can enjoy more playing space and a more immersive experience whilst maintaining on-screen status bars and action buttons while home users can watch movies in the original widescreen format without black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. Digital photography enthusiasts can view their images with all of the necessary editing controls, and home office workers can view two A4 pages or a larger number of spreadsheet columns without panning across. With an extraordinary brightness of 470 cdm-² and viewing angles of 178 degrees horizontally and vertically, the NEC MultiSync® 20WGX²Pro performs well under any condition.
The new NEC MultiSync® WGX²Pro displays include all of the proven features of the previous GX² series which received numerous awards and was a favourite amongst professional gamers. NEC's NaViSet® software enables the monitor to be set up in an intuitive and user-friendly manner and NEC's NaViKeyTM feature permits the user to navigate intuitively through the on-screen Menu. A Non Touch Auto Adjustment function (NTAA) automatically checks and continually optimises the displayed image.
The new NEC MultiSync® 70GX²Pro, 90GX²Pro and 20WGX²Pro will fit easily into all home and workplace environments thanks to good aesthetic design and features such as an integrated USB 2.0 hub and cable management. VGA and DVI-D connectors guarantee the greatest possible flexibility with both analogue and digital image signals. An automatic Power-Off and Vacation Switch ensures a low and particularly effective power consumption, and ensures a low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
The new models comply with all current standards and certifications such as ISO 13406-2, CE, TÜV GS, TÜV ERGONOMIE and the TCO'03.
