Engine Software's Middleware to support Tapwave's Mobile Entertainment Console
Music & Sound Replayer stars on Zodiac(TM)
Doetinchem, August 31st 2004 - Engine Software, a developer based in the Netherlands, today announces that the Tapwave ZodiacTM handheld will be included in the list of supported platforms for the Music & Sound Replayer library.
Tapwave's ZodiacTM, a PalmOS based handheld device combining Games, MP3, Video and PDA functionality, is among the newer platforms that will be included in Engine Software's only middleware Program: The Music & Sound Replayer which, at the moment, is only available for GameboyTM Advance. Work on the ZodiacTM-specific version is currently undergoing beta testing, and will become available for licensing soon.
Mr. Ivo Wubbels, CEO at Engine Software explains: "We felt that music and sound has often been one of the more neglected areas of Zodiac games, and we think that our replayer - which has considerably more specific gamedevelopment features compared to the available libraries - can help change that."
Over thirty developers worldwide have licensed the Library for GBA, including renowned companies such as Vicarious Visions, DC Studios, Digital Eclipse, Pocket Studios, Monkeystone, Rockstar Leeds, and Aspyr Media. As a direct result of the conversion, Engine Software will also make it's Music Service available for Zodiac games.
