Eminence's Destiny Reunion tour presents the classics in 'rock' style fashion in Japan

Eminence's Destiny Reunion quintet 'rocked' Japan when it presented 'Dreamers Alliance' a concert featuring classical renditions of uniquely orchestrated anime and video game titles at the Himewari no Sato concert hall in Yokohama, Japan.

The sell out Japan concert was co-produced with the assistance of long time friends and associates of the Eminence Symphony Orchestra, Mr Yasunori Mitsuda from Procyon Studios and Mr Hitoshi Sakimoto of Basiscape. Both of these 'legendary' composers are celebrities in Japan, particularly with both the video game and Japanese animation industries and consumers.

Mr Yasunori Mitsuda - who is famous for such video games as Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Xenogears and Xenosaga Episode I, along with Mr Hitoshi Sakimoto - who is famous for Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy XII and the recent anime Romeo X Juliet, worked together to exclusively arrange the concert program for Eminence's Destiny Reunion quintet.

The concert also featured a number of Mr Mitsuda and Mr Sakimoto's own works, including songs from Deltora Quest (Sakimoto), Romeo X Juliet (Sakimoto), Chrono Cross (Mitsuda), Kirite (Mitsuda's personal album), to name a few.

The enthusiastic audience was overjoyed to have the celebrity composers live on-stage to address them and provide commentary and opinions of their own work and the industry.

The audience got an additional 'surprise treat' when Mr Mitsuda performed live with the Destiny Reunion quintet - showcasing his guitar skills - for his encore song 'Time's Scar' from Chrono Cross.

The 'Dreamers Alliance' concert also featured other important industry notorieties who have been associated with Eminence's previous concert history. Mr Masaru Shiina, a composer with Bandai Namco assisted with the concert. Mr Shiina, who was a guest at Eminence's 'A Night in Fantasia 2007: Symphonic Games Edition', is known for his compositions for the game Tekken: Dark Resurrection and Tales of Legendia. Bandai Namco composer, Mr Junichi Nakatsuru, composer of the Soul Calibur series who was also a guest at 'A Night in Fantasia 2007: Symphonic Games Edition' was in the audience.

At the end of the concert, the performers were treated to a standing ovation and enthusiastic cheers. Fans have urged Eminence to consider a return concert soon.

The Destiny Reunion tour will continue with performances on July 21st and 22nd at Otakon - the world's largest anime convention - in Baltimore, USA before the Destiny Reunion musicians return home to Australia to wow Australian audiences.

The pieces played at Destiny Reunion have been arranged exclusively for this concert series and will not be heard at any other Eminence performance. Tickets are limited for this tour - so fans of Eminence's previous 'Destiny' performances should make sure they don't miss out!

Eminence Symphony Orchestra was established in 2003 by renowned violin virtuoso, Hiroaki Yura. Since then, Eminence has become known for their annual 'A Night in Fantasia' events, in addition to other concerts and recordings for games, anime and films.

Classical music should not be left to languish in dusty corners or to be appreciated only by an older demographic. It needs to find a new face and be aggressively showcased into expanded genres in order to capture a larger audience.

Eminence wants to challenge the 'image' of orchestral music, by aligning it with the things that are more familiar to younger audiences, such as computer games. Eminence's musicians want young people to really 'hear' orchestral music, to believe in the strength of music and connect with it.
