New set of game development tools arms developers with stand-alone technologies for building, testing and managing games
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SAN JOSE, Calif. and CALABASAS, Calif. - March 22, 2006 - Emergent Game Technologies, the company that is redefining the craft of game development, today announced the launch of Emergent Elements, a powerful new set of modular game development tools that brings together stand-alone metrics, automation and 3D graphics technologies into a flexible, integrated framework. Emergent Elements enables developers to focus on the craft of game development, arming them with powerful new tools for building, testing and managing their games with more flexibility and control than ever before.
The first tools to be launched under the Emergent Elements brand include:
- Gamebryo Element: Flexible 3D graphics engine optimized for next-gen consoles that also integrates the AGEIA PhysXTM SDK. The Gamebryo Element is the next generation of Gamebryo, the graphics engine behind recent hits such as Firaxis's Sid Meier's Civilization IV, and future hits like Bethesda Softworks' The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
- Metrics Element: Powerful, intuitive tools for collecting, analyzing and distributing any game data, from development to live game operations, all within a simple web-based user interface.
- Automation Element: Advanced tools for automating common development processes including builds and server operations.
Each Emergent Element is available independently or as part of an integrated set of tools. All Emergent Elements support development on the latest console and PC platforms including Xbox360TM and PLAYSTATION®3. Elements communicate information to the developer through a single dashboard that provides constantly updated views and analysis of game information, intelligence and data throughout the development lifecycle.
Emergent Game Technologies' CEO Geoffrey Selzer sees the Elements framework as a major step forward in the evolution of game development. "This is the first time a company has offered such a range of capabilities addressing every phase of game development," said Selzer. "We believe Emergent Elements is a transformative approach to game development-and we're just getting started. Plus, we back all our products with the same great support that has made current customers repeat customers."
Developers can get their first look at Emergent Game Technologies' Emergent Elements at the 2006 Game Developers Conference in San Jose on March 20-24 by visiting Emergent's booth - #1428.
