ELSPA's rebirth as UKIE is imminent

Transition confirmed for London meeting on 7 September

The Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association has put a definite date on its planned transformation into the UK Interactive Entertainment Association (UKIE).

A South London meeting on September 7 will finally bring about the rebranding, an invitation to members and media today confirmed.

The new identity was approved by ELSPA's board back in March, originally stating an intention to adopt it over the Summer.

The association has previously described the change as a need to move with the times. Last month, ELSPA agreed to partner with trade association TIGA on the pursuit of tax relief for the UK games industry.
