Elliott to depart GamesIndustry.biz
Publisher moves on to pursue new opportunities in the video games business
Phil Elliott is to leave GamesIndustry.biz at the end of May, to pursue new opportunities in the video games business.
Elliott, who joined Eurogamer Network in 2007, has overseen the evolution of the trade site in capacities as editor, managing editor and publisher, including the move from a news-led site to a thriving business community.
"My time with Eurogamer has been fantastic," he said. "I'm extremely proud of the work we've done in the past four years, and am able to move on safe in the knowledge that GamesIndustry.biz is in a very strong position.
"I'll always be grateful for the opportunity to have helped shaped that part of the business, and look forward to seeing even more success in the future."
And Rupert Loman, Eurogamer Network MD added: "Thanks to the hard work that Phil and the team have put in over the past few years, GamesIndustry.biz has reached a market leading position and has a fantastic reputation. It's now perfectly poised for further growth and innovations.
"We'd like to thank Phil for his efforts and wish him the very best for the future."
Elliott joined GamesIndustry.biz from GameSpot UK, where he held the role of editor. Prior to that he spent four years at the BBC.
