Electronics Sports World Cup Qualifier for the UAE

The search has begun to find the best Computer Gamers in the UAE

Leeds, UK - The Electronic Sports World Cup UAE Qualifier will be hosted by Game Frontier Ltd on the 9th-10th June 2005 in Dubai. Game Frontier is pleased to be able to reaffirm it's commitment to the gaming community in the United Arab Emirates by providing this opportunity for UAE gamers to qualify to represent their country at the prestigious ESWC grand finals.

The games to be played are:

Counter-Strike 1.6 (CS) Team Based Challenge (5 Players per Team)

Warcraft III: Frozen Thrown expansion (WC3) single player strategy

Game Frontier, premium partners of the Electronic Sports World Cup 2005 have organised the competition for the above games. The top Counter-Strike team and the top Warcraft 3 player will win expenses paid trips to France to join the other 800 gamers from 45 countries to compete in the world ESWC finals on July 6th-10th at the Louvre in Paris.

This year's total prize fund for the international finals in France is over $300,000. Founded in 2003, the ESWC is one of the most prestigious video game competitions, featuring champions from all over the world and is sponsored by the NVIDIA Corporation.

This event is open to all UAE nationals and residents. The Counter-Strike (CS) teams can be mixed, providing that at least 3 members out of the total of 5 are UAE representatives. The other 2 can be from another country.

There is a minimum age limit of 16 Years old for all entrants. Anyone below the age of 18 years and above 16 has to have a parental consent form to enter the competition.
