Electronic Sports World World Cup 2007 Grand Final Dates and Location

Paris - November 24, 2006. The Fifth Edition of the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) Grand Final will take place Thursday, July 5, 2007 to Sunday, July 8, 2007 at the Expo Park of Paris, France. The major international event ESWC 2007 will gather the 1,000 best video games players of the world in the largest gaming show ever produced worldwide with more than 50,000 visitors expected live at the event.

ESWC 2007 will be designed for the most anticipated "e-sports" spectator experience with 3 main areas over 12,000 m², in the newest hall of the congress Expo Park of Paris - Hall 5 Porte de Versailles.

1/ The Gaming Zone (to follow games close to the champions - open to public - matches broadcasted and live results on screens)

2/ The Show on Stage (20 grand matches on stage - 5 sessions per day - 5,000 spectators par sessions - live commentaries in multi-languages)

3/ The Gaming Expo (digital leisure and video games expo with tournaments for visitors, shoot out, partner's stands, conferences)

In order to attend to the final, all champions will have to qualify through ESWC national selections from January to June 2007. Preliminaries will involve more than 500,000 gamers worldwide on games as Counter-Strike (® Valve Software), Warcraft (® Blizzard), Quake (® ID Software), Pro Evolution Soccer (® Konami), Trackmania (® Nadeo), console and mobile games.
