Electronic Sports World Cup To Launch Portal ESWC.COM

Worldwide Online Community Platform to Federate Electronic Sports

Paris, France - January, Wednesday 17, 2007. "Games-Services", owner of the Electronic Sports World Cup, announces the worldwide launching of its community Internet platform "ESWC.COM" dedicated to video gaming, games players, teams and tournament organizers affiliated with the ESWC. "ESWC.COM" links up 36 private organizations, representing 45 countries using an exclusive online software designed by Games-Services.

The "ESWC.COM" portal aims to be the database of electronic sports, referencing all players taking part in ESWC competitions throughout the world, formalizing their associations in clubs and teams. Supported by an online software of tournament management, designed to provide real time information, "ESWC.COM" will certify the eligibility of a player for the Electronic Sports World Cup.

"ESWC.COM" will provide tournament calendar for each country, coverage of competitions, search engines for teams and players, and live match results for ESWC tournaments. Registered members will be able to access all features of the site:

► Obtaining an ESWC player license

► Registering and managing clubs and teams

► Organizing a tournament

► Requesting ESWC accreditations

Eventually "ESWC.COM" will publish periodic national and international rankings based on players and teams achievements in ESWC competitions.

The Electronic Sports World Cup was launched in 2003. The last Grand Finals were organized in Paris, France, at The Carrousel du Louvre in 2005 and in Bercy in 2006. The ESWC has rewarded the champions with more than 1 million dollars of prize money over the last years. The next ESWC Grand Final will be organized from 5 to 8 July 2007 in Paris Expo Hall 5, and will gather 1,000 of the best video games players from all over the world, and more than 50,000 visitors.
