Electronic Games Expo and A Night in Fantasia
Sydney, October 23, 2005 - Eminence announced today that Australia's first public games-only expo - the Electronic Games Expo 2005 (EGX05) - will be held next Sunday (October 30) in Lower Sydney Town Hall, Sydney.
EGX05 is for one day only. The line up includes displays by Sony, Vivendi Universal and a chance to play Tekken 5, V8 Supercars, Bomberman DS, FEAR, Nintendogs and Ricky Ponting Cricket. The latest video game trailers will be shown on two large screens.
EGX05 will also feature tournaments on the PSP, PS2 and DS for a chance to win great prizes. There are many games and prize packs up for grabs along with the major prize - a Kookaburra cricket bat signed by the Australian Cricket Captain Ricky Ponting.
Attendees are invited to bring along their own Sony PSP, Nintendo DS and games for some Wi-Fi multiplayer action in a special meet up area.

Following EGX05 in Sydney Town Hall will be A Night in Fantasia 2005 (ANIF05). A Night in Fantasia is Australia's premier orchestral concert of music from some of the most well-known Japanese animation and electronic games ever created. This concert of anime and gaming music is now in its third year.
Eminence Symphony Orchestra and choir, a total of over 80 people on stage will perform music from major titles including Gundam Seed, Halo, Metal Gear Solid 2, Super Mario Bros, Final Fantasy VIII, Spirited Away and World of Warcraft.
