Electric TopHat appointments
Scottish developer recruits three former Realtime Worlds staff.
DUNDEE, Scotland – Monday 27th September 2010 - Electric TopHat are pleased to announce the appointment of new positions from the now defunct studio Realtime Worlds.
Joining the team are Sam Philips, Tahir Rashid & Chris Black. All three Ex-Realtime members join the independent studio based in Dundee, Scotland.
Sam Philips heads up the design department and has also been appointed Company Director.
Sam Philips was previously Senior Designer on Project: MyWorld.
Tahir Rashid heads up the art department and has also been appointed Company Director.
Tahir Rashid was previously Lead Artist on Project: MyWorld and also Senior Artist on Crackdown.
Chris Black also joins the team, and was previously Senior Artist on Project: MyWorld.
Electric TopHat was set up by Robert McDowell in 2008 to create small independent projects after completing work on Crackdown.
Tahir commented "I look forward to creating some new IP with my former work colleagues from Realtime Worlds, we were a great team hit by the closure of the studio last month. I hope more studios will form from the ashes and that the Dundee games scene can grow again."

Founded by Robert (Bert) McDowell, the studio is based in Dundee, Scotland. The studio mainly focuses on development independent titles.
Robert McDowell was previously Character Programmer on Crackdown, which was released on Xbox 360 in early 2007.
The game sold approximately 1.4 million copies, and won multiple awards including prestigious BAFTA and Develop Industry Excellence awards.
Electric TopHat have two projects in development which are currently scheduled for release this year.
