eGames Masters tournament to be "a landmark event in the world of Australian eSport".

Finals for the country’s biggest eSports Tournament are set to take place at the highly anticipated eGames Expo on 30 October – 1 November 2009 at the Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton.

A landmark event in the world of Australian eSport, the eGames Expo will see finalists from state qualifiers conducted in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, and online for other states, compete in front of hundreds of visitors to the 2009 event.

Visitors to the event will also have the chance to demonstrate their skills on games such as Halo 3 ODST, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, and Street Fighter 4 at Intel’s eSports Zone.

In addition to the stockpile of fantastic prizes up for grabs, Intel’s eSports Zone will also feature Australia’s most successful eSports team – Intel’s Team Immunity. The eSports professionals will be ready to take on gamers in titles such as Counterstrike and will also be available to answer questions and provide useful information on this exciting and ever-growing industry.

With continued support from some of the biggest names in the business, including Microsoft, Intel, Western Digital, and SteelSeries, the eGames Masters the eGames Masters is set to enthral visitors and raise the profile of competitive video gaming in Australia.
