EA's The Sims(TM) Bringing Phones To Life Across Europe
CHERTSEY, UK - 18 October 2005 - Electronic Arts, the world's leading interactive entertainment software company, today announced that The SimsTM 2 will become available for download to mobile phone customers across Europe this December.
The SimsTM 2 on the PC swept Europe in Autumn 2004 by becoming the fastest selling game of all time and the No. 1 PC game of 2004, with sales already topping 5 million units worldwide. Fans of this hugely popular franchise will soon be able to enjoy a vivid and in-depth Sims experience on their mobile phone wherever they are.
The SimsTM 2 on mobile will feature completely unique storylines giving players the ability to customise and take control of their Sims. It will offer a Create-A-Sim function, which enables players to create and customise their own Sims from a variety of components. The Sims 2 gameplay allows players to satisfy their Sim's wants, buy objects, develop their careers and skills and develop relationships with other Sims. The intuitive 'one thumb' gameplay combined with an immersive 3D Sims world will let both old and new players enjoy the game of life on their mobile phone.
