Electronic Arts has announced a new agreement with UK network operator O2 which will see titles from the Pogo Mobile library being launched in Europe for the first time on O2's new i-mode service.

The first three titles to be launched under the deal, Poppit, Tri Peaks Solitaire and Turbo 21, are also the most popular ones on the Pogo.com portal, and will be available on the Games tab of the i-mode service immediately.

i-mode customers will be able to subscribe to receive additional games from EA, using the standard i-mode charging structure - which adds subscription costs directly to the monthly mobile phone bill.

"As we continue to accelerate in the mobile gaming space, having an exciting casual games offering for consumers is another step in our strategy to engage more consumers in pick-up-and-play, on the go gaming experiences," according to EA Mobile's marketing and sales boss John Burns.

"We are pleased to work with O2 Uk to offer this proposition," he continued. "We look forward to making a variety of our franchises available to O2 customers on i-mode in the coming months."
