Sales across the country are down for every title in the top forty, with Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed suffering a 70 per cent drop in sales, as it falls from first place to number four.

Sales of the number two game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare were down 56 per cent and this week's number three title The Simpsons Game saw a drop of 58 per cent.

Need for Speed: Pro Street is at five this week, with Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 at six, Sega's The Golden Compass at seven and Nintendo's More Brain Training at eight.

Activision's Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is a non-mover at nine and THQ's WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2008 drops from number seven to number ten.
